3x gold and 1x silver with RWS for the French biathlon team at the World Cup in Pokljuka

The recent successes at the World Cup in Pokljuka from 13 to 16 March 2025 once again highlight the strength of the French biathlon team. The athletes once again demonstrated their excellence and highlighted the importance of precision and reliability – values that are top priorities in both biathlon and at RWS.
 

Results in Pokljuka 2025

Women's 12.5 km Individual (13 March 2025): Julia Simon took the gold medal in this event, once again demonstrating her outstanding precision.

Men's 15 km Mass Start (15 March 2025): Eric Perrot won gold, followed by Quentin Fillon Maillet, who took silver. Their teammate Fabien Claude finished in a strong fourth place, just missing the podium.

Women's 12.5 km mass start (15 March 2025): Lou Jeanmonnot triumphed, securing the gold medal. Her impressive performance highlights her consistent development this season.

Mixed relay (16 March 2025): The French team with Jeanne Richard, Océane Michelon, Eric Perrot and Quentin Fillon Maillet won the silver medal behind Sweden. This performance shows the strength and depth of the French squad in the relay competitions as well.
 

Overall standings before the last event

Before the final World Cup in Oslo from 21 to 23 March 2025, the French team is in an excellent position:

Women's Overall World Cup: Franziska Preuß leads with 1048 points, closely followed by 4 Frenchwomen: Lou Jeanmonnot (1028 points), Julia Simon (804 points), Jeanne Richard (676 points) and Oceane Michelon (666 points).

Men's Overall World Cup: Eric Perrot is in third place with 797 points, while his teammate Emilien Jacquelin is in fourth place with 755 points.
 

Review of the 2024/25 season

The 2024/25 season was extremely successful for the French national biathlon team.

World Championships in Lenzerheide: The French team won a total of 13 medals, including 6 world championship titles in both individual and relay competitions. This made France the overall winner of this year's Biathlon World Championships.

World Cup successes: In addition to their recent achievements in Pokljuka, the French athletes also achieved the most podium finishes in the World Cup in national comparison, which underlines their consistent top form in both the women's and men's events.
 

Preview of the season finale in Oslo

The upcoming World Cup final in Oslo from 21-23 March promises to be a thrilling end to the season. The close gaps in the overall World Cup ranking promise to deliver some exciting competitions, especially between Franziska Preuß and Lou Jeanmonnot. RWS is confident that the French team, equipped with our precise biathlon ammunition, will also give their best in Oslo and celebrate further successes.

The 2025 biathlon season with the season highlight of the 2025 Biathlon World Championships in Lenzerheide

The 2024/25 Biathlon World Cup will run from November 2024 to March 2025 and includes 58 dates to be held at nine locations. The season highlight is the 2025 Biathlon World Championships in Lenzerheide. As a sponsor of the French biathlon team, we will be keeping our fingers crossed not only for the German athletes this season, but also for the French team in particular.
