RWS Athletes and Clubs impress at the Federal League Final in Rotenburg an der Fulda

The Bundesliga shooting finals, held on 8 and 9 February 2025 at the Göbel Hotels Arena in Rotenburg an der Fulda, were a great success for the clubs supported by RWS.

As a long-standing partner of shooting sports, RWS provides free R10 premium brand air rifle and air pistol bullets to interested Bundesliga teams every year. RWS was also on site again this year with its information stand, under the direction of Florian Schmidt.

RWS-sponsored teams achieve excellent placings

In the air pistol discipline, ESV Weil am Rhein took first place, crowning an impressive season. This was the second national title for Weil am Rhein after 18 years and numerous unsuccessful attempts. The shooters around coach Helga Koop have relied on RWS R10 for years and are regular guests at our test stand at the German Championships in Munich.

The air pistol shooters of SV 1935 Kriftel and the air rifle team of SV Wieckenberg secured an excellent third place, underlining their consistently high performance in the 2024/25 league.

The performance of SSG Dynamit Fürth, which competed in both the air rifle and air pistol events, is also worthy of special mention, demonstrating their versatility and strength.

Florian Schmidt from the RWS test shooting range was also there in person.

Special Award for Michael Schwald

Another outstanding moment of the Bundesliga final was the award given to Michael Schwald (ESV Weil am Rhein), who has already celebrated many successes with the RWS R10. Together with Lea Ruppel (ST Hubertus Elsen), he received the prestigious Carl Walther Trophy, which is awarded to the most consistent shooters of the Bundesliga season.

Robin Walter once again voted ‘Shooter of the Year’

A special highlight was the renewed award of Robin Walter as ‘Shooter of the Year’.
The RWS-sponsored athlete and current second in the air pistol world rankings was honoured by the readers of the German Shooting Magazine for his outstanding achievements. This honour took place during the Bundesliga final and underlines Walter's continuous top performances in shooting sports.

RWS service stand: Personal support for athletes

Florian Schmidt from the RWS test shooting range was personally on site with an information stand. The direct exchange made it possible to receive valuable feedback and to personally support the athletes. Many of the fans and spectators who had travelled with them also took the opportunity to arrange test dates or simply to find out more about our range of ammunition.

We congratulate all participating clubs and marksmen on their impressive achievements and thank them for their trust in RWS ammunition.
